MANUAL THERAPY

MANUAL THERAPY

Manual therapy includes all manual techniques and movements that are applied for the purpose of increasing the range of motion, tissue flexibility, reducing pain, swelling and tissue inflammation.
Physiotherapists perform manual therapy techniques to reduce edema, pain, swelling and spasms, improve health and functional status, and increase mobility.
The therapy is adapted to the specific needs and condition of the patient, that is, the overall health of the patient is considered, including physical, psychological and social aspects, and the best results for the patient are achieved through a combination of different manual therapy techniques.

Techniques of manual therapy:
*Joint mobilization: light, rhythmic movements to improve joint mobility and reduce stiffness
*Joint manipulation: quick, precise movements to free the joint and improve blood circulation
*Massage: application of various massage techniques to relax muscles, reduce tension and improve circulation
*Stretching: Techniques to stretch connective tissue muscles to improve flexibility and reduce stiffness
*Nerve mobilization: Techniques to release pressure on nerves and improve their functionality
*Fascia release: techniques for releasing tension in the fascia, the tissue that surrounds muscles and organs
