DRY NEEDLING

DRY NEEDLING

A therapeutic technique in which thin therapeutic needles are used for the treatment of relaxing painful and tense muscles, which achieves the relaxation of soft tissue and reduces muscle tension and pain, which are most often caused by musculoskeletal dysfunctions or trigger points.

Dry needling technique is used in the following conditions:

Myofascial pain syndrome: pain and tension in the muscles
Sports injuries: strains, sprains, overexertion syndrome
Chronic pain: pain in the neck, back, shoulders and other parts of the body
Postoperative rehabilitation: recovery of functionality after surgery
Neuromuscular disorders: tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, hip and knee pain.
